Founded in 2020, the Kibali Awards is a premier annual Kenyan awards initiative dedicated to celebrating and elevating excellence in the gospel music industry. We have proudly completed our third successful edition, which was held on November 29th, 2025, marking another milestone in our journey of faith and recognition.

The very name “Kibali” is drawn from the Swahili language, meaning “favor.” This name is deeply intentional, reflecting our foundational belief that talent in gospel ministry is a divine gift to be nurtured and honored. Our mission is inspired by the biblical principle that Jesus encouraged His disciples to work and to receive their rightful reward. In this spirit, the Kibali Awards serves as a platform of divine favor, aiming to achieve three core objectives:
First, we exist to empower both new and continuing talents within the gospel ministry. We provide a respected national stage that amplifies voices, validates callings, and fuels the creative journeys of artists and ministers.
Second, we are committed to recognizing outstanding, dedicated efforts across the entire gospel music world. From powerful vocal performances and heartfelt songwriting to innovative production and impactful media work, we celebrate the commitment that transforms passion into excellence.
Finally, we take an active role in identifying new, sober-minded ministers in the fields of gospel music, media, and talent production. Beyond merely spotting potential, we believe in providing essential guidance through structured mentorship, helping to shape the ethical and professional leaders of tomorrow.
